This was the best book I have read about the Asians in Africa. In fact it is probably the only one in a handful of books published that is enjoyable reading from beginning to end. I learnt alot of facts about East African history that I had no idea about because all the movies and books I had read in the past were only from the point of view of the colonialists. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the history of East Africa and the life of one Asian family.
